CHAPTER 4 FAULT LAB - ANSWERS
==============================
Diagnose from the compiler message FIRST. Then check here.

Fault A - Missing semicolon after the first Print statement.
  Lesson: the complaint usually lands on the line AFTER the real
  fault, because the statement never legally ended. (Section 4.3)

Fault B - The closing brace of main is missing.
  Lesson: unclosed braces are noticed at the end of the file,
  far downstream of the opening brace they orphaned. (Section 4.3)

Fault C - print is spelt in lower case.
  Lesson: 12dPL is case-sensitive; Print exists, print does not.
  This one is reported at the honest line. (Section 3.8)

Fault D - The first text constant has no closing quote before the
  parenthesis; the quote before ) actually OPENS a new string.
  Lesson: unterminated text swallows what follows and produces a
  cascade - apply the first-error rule. On version 15, watch for
  the terse hint line "possible real start of unterminated
  constant": it names the true line. (Sections 4.2, 4.3, 4.5)

Fault E - The block comment is never closed, so the rest of the
  program is read as commentary.
  Lesson: the giving-up complaint lands at the end of the file,
  but on version 15 a terse "unterminated comment" line names the
  very line where the comment opens - when the two disagree,
  trust the terse one. (Sections 4.2, 4.3)

Fault F - The first Print is missing its closing parenthesis.
  Lesson: another unclosed opener; on version 15 the collision is
  reported on the same line, at the column where the compiler hit
  the semicolon. (Section 4.3)

Fault G - main is misspelt as mian, so the program has no main.
  Lesson: every macro needs exactly one function called main;
  version 15 says it plainly - "no routine main found" - as a
  single clean error at the end of the file. (Section 3.2)

Fault H - An extra closing brace ends main early, leaving a
  stray brace with no owner.
  Lesson: too many closers confuses just as surely as too few;
  brace discipline (Section 3.8) prevents both.

Score honestly. A missed diagnosis means rereading the section
named above - that is the exercise working, not failing.
